This notice describes the editorial website, newsletter, email contact, iPhone app and Garage After Hours Meta publishing app. Updated October 25, 2026.
Information you send
If you email hello@garageafterhours.co, your message includes your email address and any information or attachments you choose to send. We use that information to read and respond to the enquiry and handle related editorial follow-up. Please send only what is needed.
Website delivery and security
The production website is hosted by Bluehost. Hosting and security infrastructure process request information, such as a network address and requested page, to deliver and protect the site. These providers have their own data practices.
The website uses locally hosted fonts and images. The website does not offer reader account registration or public comments. Newsletter signup is provided through Brevo. A separate optional paid refresh processes garage photos as described below.
After Hours newsletter
We use Brevo to host the newsletter signup form, record your permission and send After Hours. When you submit the form, Brevo processes your email address, your consent choice and technical information about the request. New subscriptions require you to click the confirmation link sent to your email address.
Brevo also processes email delivery, bounce, opening and link-click information. Opening and click reports can be affected by email privacy tools and do not reliably prove that someone read an email. Newsletter processing is separate from optional Google Analytics on this website. Read Brevo’s Privacy Policy.
You can stop newsletter emails using the unsubscribe link provided in our emails or our unsubscribe form. An unsubscribe record may be retained to prevent further marketing emails. For questions or a request about your newsletter information, email hello@garageafterhours.co.
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. WordPress uses cookies for signed-in site editors, and hosting or security services may use cookies or browser checks to protect access. We use Complianz to remember your cookie choice.
Google Analytics is optional. If you accept Analytics, your browser sends Google information about page visits, interactions and your browser or device. We use the reports to understand which content is useful and how people use the website. Google also receives request information, including your IP address. Read how Google uses information from websites that use its services.
Our Google Analytics tag stays blocked until you accept Analytics. You can reject Analytics and continue using the website. Open Cookie settings in the footer at any time to change your choice. Withdrawing consent stops future Analytics collection on this site; it does not itself erase information already sent to Google.
Complianz uses cookies with names beginning cmplz_ to remember your consent settings. We keep that choice for up to one year unless you clear it or we ask again after a change. After acceptance, Google Analytics uses first-party cookies such as _ga and _ga_* to distinguish visitors and visits. Google’s default expiration for those Analytics cookies is two years; returning visits can refresh their expiration. Browsers may apply shorter limits. You can also inspect or delete stored cookies in your browser settings.
For questions about this website’s use of information, email hello@garageafterhours.co.
Links to other websites
Articles may link to sources or retailers. Visiting another site subjects that visit to its own privacy and cookie practices. A source link does not subscribe you to anything on this website.
Garage After Hours for iPhone
Version 1.0 saves your garage layout and dimensions, working project and checklist, bookmarks, and the latest 50 session journal entries on your device. It also saves article text and downloaded cover images for later reading. The app does not upload your garage records, notes or bookmarks to Garage After Hours or an AI service. Action Plans use templates on your device, without sending requests to an AI provider. These plans are separate from the website’s Fix My Garage photo service. There is no native app account.
Changes to your layout or checklist replace the current saved version. Adding journal entries beyond the latest 50 removes older entries from the current journal. You can remove individual bookmarks. Deleting the app removes its local app data; shared files and device-backup copies must be managed separately. Depending on your Apple backup settings, app files may be included in device backups.
Refreshing Explore requests public articles, categories and cover images from garageafterhours.co. Opening an article may request its inline images. These requests do not include your garage measurements, project notes or bookmarks. The native reader does not execute the website’s analytics scripts, retain website cookies, or include an advertising or analytics SDK.
Bluehost hosting infrastructure receives network information when serving those requests. Access logs retain information including an IP address, request time and requested resource. Garage After Hours currently uses these logs only for troubleshooting and security. Retention of provider-managed logs and any provider backup copies depends on the applicable service settings and provider practices. We have not verified a fixed deletion period for those records. Deleting the app does not delete hosting records.
You choose whether to share layout measurements or journal text through the iOS share sheet. Your chosen app or service receives that text and handles it under its own practices; Garage After Hours does not automatically receive a copy. Opening the privacy-policy link visits the website, where this notice’s website cookie and analytics provisions apply.
If you email hello@garageafterhours.co, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you send. Support email is stored in a Bluehost mailbox and forwarded to a Gmail mailbox. We use messages to handle your enquiry and related support follow-up. We do not currently feed support emails into marketing or AI tools. Please send only information needed for support, without passwords or payment details.
For privacy questions or a deletion request concerning information you have sent us, email hello@garageafterhours.co. We cannot retrieve garage records or journal entries stored only inside your app.
Garage After Hours Meta publishing app
Garage After Hours uses a private publishing app to manage its own Facebook Page and linked Instagram professional account. The app uses Meta’s Graph API to identify these accounts and, when content is approved for publication, to send posts, captions and media to them. It is not a sign-in service for visitors to this website.
For accounts connected to the app, we process the Page and Instagram account identifiers, usernames and profile information needed to confirm the destination; approved content and media; and publication results such as post identifiers and status. Access tokens are kept in the operator’s macOS Keychain. Account configuration and publishing records are kept in the Garage After Hours Content Factory. We use this information to operate and check publishing to our own accounts, not for advertising or sale of Meta account data.
Meta app data deletion and access
To request deletion of information held by this app, email hello@garageafterhours.co with the Facebook Page or Instagram username involved. Do not send an access token or password. We will verify the request, remove the app’s stored access token and associated account and publishing records where applicable, and reply about any information that must be retained. You can also revoke the app’s access in your Meta account or business integration settings. Revoking access stops future use of that connection but does not itself delete our local records; email us if you want those records deleted.
Posts already published on Facebook or Instagram remain on those services until managed there. Meta processes information under its own Privacy Policy.
Fix My Garage refresh and test invites
For the $3 refresh or an invited free test, we receive one or two garage photos, your answers and optional note, and an email address. Paid customers give their email at Stripe checkout; invited testers enter it on our form. We also receive a payment status for paid orders. We use this information to make and deliver your private concept image and written action plan, handle support or a paid-order refund, and protect the service from abuse. We do not publish your photos or result without separate permission. The newsletter is a separate choice.
Before paid checkout or free test processing, our server checks the image type and size, resizes each image and re-encodes it to remove embedded photo metadata such as location data. We store the cleaned images outside the public media library. If payment does not complete within 24 hours, we delete the photos, answers, and note. We may keep a minimal Stripe checkout reference for up to 90 days to detect a delayed payment and request a full refund if it completes after the photos are gone. After processing a paid order or free test, we delete our input copies. The private result and its order record are scheduled for deletion 30 days after purchase or free submission. If an automatic refund fails for a paid order, we keep the limited order and payment reference until the issue is resolved; its photos are deleted. Hosting backups, Stripe payment records, and provider safety records can follow different retention periods. Contact us if you need an earlier deletion or have a question about an order.
We send the cleaned images, the generated concept, your selected goals, and your optional note to OpenAI to generate the concept, check that it matches your room, and write the action plan. OpenAI may retain API content in safety logs under its API data controls. Stripe processes the one-time payment and checkout email for paid orders; we do not collect card details. Cloudflare Turnstile checks both paid and free submissions for abuse. We may email the private result link or an order issue notice to the address you supplied. The result link is private and expires after 30 days; anyone you share it with can open it until it expires.
The written plan is based on your photos, generated concept, selected goals, optional note, and rough budget. It does not contain specific product or retailer recommendations. The private result may link to public articles with related ideas or items; those are not verified matches to objects in the AI image. An article may contain disclosed affiliate links. Send photo, order, or deletion questions to hello@garageafterhours.co without attaching additional sensitive information.
